We found ourselves today looking for books on how to sew. Yes, given we’re starting a textile design company, you’d think that would indeed be a skill worth (already) having. But being able to follow patterns to sew clothes or quilts is one thing. Being able to sew an invisible zipper between different types of fabric? A whole different ball of wax.
Suddenly, we realized we may not have been thinking (drinking) carefully when we decided to build a company based on textiles… Especially when one of us only sews straight lines and has never touched a Serger! We’re starting to seriously doubt how bright we are.
